He gained practical experience by designing and constructing, for a major client, drinking-water-from-air systems with associated water treatment systems. His peer-reviewed publications about atmospheric water vapour processing have been cited in academic papers and patents. His business career included fifteen years as a Managing Director of a family-owned industrial distribution firm. As an inventor, he was the Winning Solver for the InnoCentive Challenge: High throughput assay for determining degradation.
